Life - Are Yor READY To Go For It?
Robert Paisola

How many times have we stood in the mirror and said to ourselves... Tomorrow, I WILL.... and the next day we wake up and say the same thing again?

One thing that I know is that in our lives, there are times when we feel that we should take a specific action that we just know deep down inside is right; but for some reason, we seem to feel stuck or unsure. So we hesitate.

Why is that?

There is a universal truth that states that when we make a specific decision to take ACTION in our lives, we move forward, however that looks like to each and every one of us. One question that we have to internally answer is Am I ready?” Because, no matter the motivation or desire is in our lives, and even if we are willing and able to do whatever it is that we desire, the question still remains Are we ready to take a committed action? If not we will certainly sabotage ourselves.

Being ready to take action is all about commitment.

Being ready to take action is a mindset.

Sometimes we need the push in life to say Enough is Enough! At times we have to be pretty fed up or hit rock bottom before we are really ready to personally create long lasting change in our lives.

A great friend of mine recently quit her job after months of being miserable. She was willing and able to venture out into the world on her own, but for some reason she could not let go of what she called the job from hell.

The last straw for her was being demoted and having her salary cut. Why was it that it took this type of action for her to Get It?

This action by the company did nothing more than create the way for her to become ready. As humans we can put up with a whole lot. We tolerate and tolerate until finally we are pushed to the point of being ready.

It seems like a common occurrence that it sometimes takes a traumatic event in our lives for us to become totally fed up with our situation. Why is that?

Is there a way to create that internal Spark of Action without having to explore the depths of our lives to get there? One question I suggest that we ask in my seminars is What is the worst thing that can happen?” Once we have the answer, the next question then becomes And can I live with that?” If the answer is yes, then chances are you are ready to make your move. If you are still not sure - then it is time to start to look at other options.

My suggestion, Keep working on these two specific questions until you are able to create a win- win solution that you can live with.

Being ready is a state of mind. You have to be ready right down to the fibers of your bones or it won't work. When you are ready, your commitment level will be 100%. If you are not ready, your commitment level will be much less, and whatever actions you take will not be sufficient to create what you want.

Give yourself a break. If you are not ready, don't beat yourself up over it. Take a few steps left and ask yourself, What am I READY to do RIGHT NOW?.

Taking small steps can often help us get up the courage to take the big leap. There are times when any action is better than none at all. Start from where you are and keep focused and moving forward. Getting ready is a process; so don't rush it. There are occasions when it takes time to work up to the point where you can take the leap.

The biggest challenge is just knowing when to sit back and when to really dedicate yourself 100% and take ACTION!

What do you choose to do in life?
